I’m really quite taken by Lucia and Dan. Some of it may be the fact that Lucia reminds me a lot of myself.  She’s soft spoken, sweet, and very creative. And perhaps an inside joke just for Lucia, we’re both tiny! 😉 Dan is vibrant, strong, and caring. He has a very fun energy that was a joy to be around.  The relationship between the two is very charming. Lucia is a baker and Dan is a martial arts instructor.  They met online and what they thought would be a small interaction turned into a story of true love. Aren’t they pretty much the coolest people ever? It gets better.

They were originally planning a wedding at a different location but opted for something much more unique.  They decided to have a ceremony on boat!  We boarded boat Judge Ben Wiles which cruises through the clear waters of Skaneateles Lake in Skaneateles, New York. With beautiful skies and warm weather the two vowed their love to each other. It was one of the most unique atmospheres I have ever experienced for a ceremony and if you know me, I LOVE unique!  Afterwards we took photographs around Skaneateles and headed to yet another unique location for a reception, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que in Syracuse, New York!  

I’ve always loved the food at Dinosaur BBQ and never even knew they had event space! I walked up the stairs to their family making finishing touches to an amazing room. There was tables lined with beautiful flowers, desserts galore, and a rambunctious band, The Side Project.  Lucia made a bride cake and a groom cake that I was blown away by.  Be sure to check the photo of them because my words won’t be able to do them justice, just incredible.  I enjoyed every moment of Lucia and Dan’s wedding and it was an honor to photograph their first day as husband and wife. In the near future I look forward to ordering desserts from Lucia and maybe learning some self defense from Dan!  Congratulations to you both!!
